Deco Mesh Wreaths

My Amazing Halloween Deco Mesh Wreath

Two years ago my sister, Tina introduced me to deco mesh.  She made a wreath out of it and showed it to me and I fell in love with.  Tina is very sophisticated and her wreaths are out of this world.  I’m more country and old fashioned.  Between the two of us we come up with one of a kind wreaths that you won’t find in any stores.

I’ll be showing you how to create your own deco mesh wreath from the start:

Supplies:

  • Deco mesh
  • Ribbon
  • Flowers
  • Pipe cleaners
  • Embellishments
  • Scissors
  • Wire wreath
necessary supplies to make the deco mesh wreath
All the supplies to make the wreath, minus the cat!!!

I like to start adding the deco mesh in the inner row and then the outer row.  Most of my wreaths have three rows so I added red to the middle.  When it comes to embellishments I use the rule of threes.  I visually divide the wreath into two sections of threes and alternate my embellishments.

Almost done
Almost done

Here is the finished wreath, hope you have as much fun making it as I did.  Enjoy

  1. CS5711- I love this wreath! Of course, I love all things Halloween. I was wondering how the deco mesh handles. Is it stiff? I was also wondering if you have an Etsy account? Your wreathes seem like they’d sell well there.

    1. The deco mesh is not too stiff. I’ll bring some to class on 10/20/15. I did create an Etsy account but haven’t had the time to put my things on there, but now with your comment, I’m motivated to get it going. Thank you

  2. Oh, Connie… I loved it! What a great theme you chose. I also love you added the picture with the cat. Even though I don’t consider myself a cat lover, this makes just the perfect combination for the picture. … your art in Halloween and the black (or dark grey) kitty in the background….I guess you had a good helper! #cs5711

    1. My cat, Charlie, loves being in pictures. Whenever he sees me with the camera, he has to be in the picture. I’ve just converted a spare bedroom into a craft room and Charlie has already moved his toys in there and is helping me organize it.
